Give a warm and intimate feeling with your Autumn wedding theme.

We're in the peak rising temperatures and we are now looking forward to the next, cooler, season. So now is a great time to start planning your great event with an autumn theme;be it a wedding or a fun filled Birthday party.

Autumn is approaching and even though its not one of the most popular seasons for weddings there are a great many ideas on how to incorporate this season in your wedding theme. The rich colours associated with this season; oranges, browns, golds, olive, hunter green and burgundy make up a warm atmosphere and set a romantic mood to your wedding.

A wide variety of flowers are ideal for this theme, from Dahlias, Sunflowers, Mimosa, Delphinium, Gladioli and Orchids among others. The best thing about this season is that you can add dried twigs and leaves to the floral decor as well as to flower girl halos and bridesmaids bouquets, to add that extra touch of magic. Potpourri, dried flowers and small pumpkins are also ideal items to decorate with for this theme. Add to all that some personalized napkins with autumn theme colours and you are sure to impress.

Invitations are the easiest thing to work on, since now most of them are custom made to your choice of colours and themes, you could either go for floral or leaf patterns in your choice of colour, or if that is not your cup of tea you could always opt for a classic plain invite and enhance it with a personalized satin ribbon in a colour to match your theme.

Ivory is more suitable for a wedding dress in this season as it blends more with the theme, however white dresses with touches of colours such as brown or bronze are becoming more popular. For the bridesmaids dresses use the same shades of colour, and as far as the style goes the ideal would be a sleeveless gown with a matching shawl, since temperature is not stable in this season, they would be safe whether it is hot or cold. For the groom and groomsmen, same rule applies, stick to the same colour scheme, any normal suit would do, just add a waistcoat in the same colour scheme; for those who are extra adventurous however a dark brown suit would complement the theme.

As far as souvenirs go you have quite a blend of options from candles, gold frames and ever practical glass or bamboo coasters. However if you had something else in mind, add packaging or ribbons in same shade so the souvenirs complement your theme. The same thing goes for all accessories from unity candles with a fall theme to guestbooks and pens in autumn colours, you will find everything you need to complete your setup.
